Litchfield Golf and Country Club

Litchfield Country Club offers players an upscale, 18-hole golf experience in Pawleys Island, on the south end of Myrtle Beach. This is a thinking players’ course with strategy being a critical part of your game.

Willard Byrd created a traditional, southern atmosphere which is what golfers will find most inviting about Litchfield Country Club. Drivers are not needed for much of the round; this is a shot-maker's course as doglegs are prevalent throughout so accuracy and a plan of action is required in order to score well. Litchfield plays deceptively long and is considered a fair test of your skills.

A driving range with chipping and putting area surround the Clubhouse which is also well-known as a site for weddings and events. A separate, and very inviting, golf pro shop is located right near the first tee.

Located in a serene setting among towering pine and oak trees. Litchfield Country Club is considered “The Hidden Jewel of the Lowcountry” - the golf course provides players with classic styling and the Clubhouse offers southern charm at it’s best.

Hard to get a tee time unless you plan in advance, but very nice course and driving range

From start to finish, the staff was welcoming and cheerful. Bob, the ranger, was a delight. His goal was to make our experience a great one. The course was in excellent condition. There are 4 tee boxes per hole including making this course suitable for everyone. This is the course to play. The staff should go to Indian Wells Golf Course and teach the how to be pleasant and courteous. LITCHFIELD GETS 5 STARS and we look forward to playing here in the future.

This is more a review of the staff instead of the course. The course is challenging and well kept but it was the experience that will get me back here. We made reservations for 5 during the week. Called ahead and they said we could try to make it work. When we arrived they sent us off on the back nine with another group 5 holes behind us. Really appreciate the thoughtfulness and desire to make this a great day. Here is what was not known by Mike, The awesome starter, is that this was my daughters first golf round and was shared with her boyfriend and Grandfather, my dad who may not be around much longer. To let us play through like that was above and beyond what most courses will allow. Many Thanks for the memories to be made

Got there early and got out early. The staff was GREAT and friendly. The course is in very good shape overall. Some thin spots on the fairways but a great place.

Brought a large group of 16 golfers. Staff is great here from bag drop to starters. We play here often because it is one of the best draining courses and usually will allow us to ride the fairways. Always in good shape. Very friendly clubhouse staff too. A must play.

Old style golf course with lots of doglegs & nice par 3's. Fairways are a little thin in areas & the greens are putting slow but overall not in bad shape. Most MB courses are suffering some right now. Pace of play was just under 4 hours as a foursome. Very friendly staff.
